On Sunday, June 9, 2024, Clifton Park Baptist Church in Silver Spring, Maryland organized an innovative Health & Wellness worship service which included a panel discussion and farmer’s market. The panel focused on holistic health and featured Dr. Tom Pruski from Wesley Theological Seminary’s Heal The Sick program and renowned chiropractor, Dr. Marcia Levi from Optimal Care Chiropractic. The discussion, which served as the “sermon” for the day, was not only informative, but quite inspiring as well.
Part of the day also included a tour of the church’s aeroponics garden. This church does not have a lot of green space for traditional gardening so they re-purposed a classroom and started growing vertically! The harvest of their garden goes to their weekly food distribution ministry. Now they’re building a greenhouse to double the amount of food that they’re able to provide for their neighbors.
